These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the text messaging service (the “Service”) provided by Handee Lock and Key (“we,” “us,” “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not opt in and do not use the Service.

What the Service Is

We send SMS and/or MMS text messages from 912-527-8700 to provide transactional and service-related communications, including:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders

  • Service updates (including ETA and scheduling changes)

  • Customer support and two-way messaging

  • Invoices/receipts and job-related updates (if applicable)

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this Service.

Eligibility

You must be authorized to use the phone number you provide. By opting in, you represent that you are the account holder or have permission from the account holder for that number.

Opt-In and Consent

You only receive messages if you affirmatively opt in, such as by:

  • Providing your phone number to us and requesting text updates,

  • Checking a consent box on a form, or

  • Starting a text conversation with us and requesting continued communication by text.

By opting in, you authorize Handee Lock and Key to send text messages to the number you provided, including messages sent using an automated system where permitted by law.

Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service needs and communication with us. Typical messaging includes scheduling, ETA updates, and job status messages.

Costs and Carrier Disclaimers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Service may not be available on all carriers or devices.

Opt-Out (STOP) and Help (HELP)

You can opt out anytime by replying:

  • STOP to cancel

After you text STOP, you should receive a confirmation message and we will stop sending texts to that number (except where legally required or for a final confirmation).

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use text messaging with us to:

  • Send unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene content

  • Harass or invade the privacy of others

  • Transmit malware, spam, or attempts to bypass security

  • Impersonate another person or commit fraud

  • Violate applicable laws, regulations, or carrier requirements

We may restrict or end texting to/from a number if we believe there is misuse, fraud, unlawful activity, or threats to safety.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described on our Privacy Policy page

We may collect and store:

  • Your phone number

  • Message content and timestamps

  • Consent records (how/when you opted in)

  • Operational logs needed to provide and secure the Service

We do not sell your phone number for third-party marketing. We may share information with service providers that help deliver messages and operate our systems, and as required by law.

Service Changes and Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time (including changing features or the sending number). We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free message delivery.

Disclaimers (No Warranty)

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Handee Lock and Key will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from or related to the Service.

To the extent liability is not otherwise excluded, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us in the last 30 days for the specific service giving rise to the claim, whichever is greater, unless Georgia law requires a different result.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handee Lock and Key from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Screven, Georgia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
